Independent Component Inspection Services.
You don’t have to buy the parts from us to have them inspected. Send us samples from any source — broker stock, long-term storage, a suspect delivery or a line stoppage — and our laboratory returns a documented verdict, with digital images, by email.
- DIGITAL MICROSCOPY
- X-RAY
- Decapsulation
- Solderability
Four Inspection Services. One Laboratory.
Three Questions Only a Laboratory Can Answer.
01
Is It What the Marking Says?
Remarked, sanded and re-plated packages are the most common form of counterfeit. Surface texture, date and lot codes and package geometry are compared against the manufacturer’s datasheet or direct manufacturer support.
02
Is the Inside Consistent?
Two packages with identical markings can hold entirely different silicon. X-ray and decapsulation expose die size, bonding and lead-frame structure so devices in a batch can be compared against each other and against a known-good reference.
03
Will It Still Solder?
Long or poorly controlled storage oxidises terminations long before anything looks wrong. Solderability testing to JEDEC standard establishes whether stock is still fit to place before it reaches your line.
Digital Microscopy
High-magnification external examination of the package, markings and terminations — the first and fastest screen for refurbished or counterfeit material.
- Digital microscopy for indicators of refurbishing or counterfeiting
- Analysis of date code and lot code against the manufacturer's datasheet or manufacturer support
- Examination of package surface, marking quality and termination condition
- Report with digital pictures, provided by email
Priced per batch of samples · quotation on request
Surface texture, marking quality and pin-one features compared against datasheet references.
01
— Inspection 02
X-Ray
Non-destructive imaging of internal construction, so devices in a batch can be compared with one another without a single part being sacrificed.
- Individual X-ray image of each component
- "In motion" picture sequencing to compare bonding and lead-frame structures between components
- Identification of mixed-construction batches and internal anomalies
- Report with digital pictures, provided by email
02
Die, paddle and bond-wire geometry imaged part by part — no samples destroyed.
— Inspection 03
Decapsulation
Where imaging alone is inconclusive, the package is chemically opened and the die itself is examined — the definitive way to establish who actually made the silicon.
- Controlled chemical decapsulation to expose the die
- Digital microscopy of the die, including indicators used to identify the manufacturer
- Verification that the die corresponds to the device marked on the package
- Report with digital pictures, provided by email
Destructive test, priced per sample · quotation on request
Die markings and metallisation reveal the true manufacturer behind the package.
03
— Inspection 04
Solderability Test
Evidence that stored or aged stock will still wet correctly, tested to JEDEC standard and documented before and after wetting.
- Testing according to JEDEC standard J-STD-002E, "dip-and-look" for non-BGA devices
- Digital microscopy of pins before wetting
- Digital microscopy of pins after wetting
- Report with digital pictures, provided by email
04
Before-and-after imaging of every tested lead, to J-STD-002E.
— How the Service Works
From Samples to a Documented Verdict.
Tell Us the Part
Send the part number, manufacturer, quantity and what you need to know. We confirm which of the four services applies and quote before anything ships.
Send Your Samples
Samples are received into our Putzbrunn facility under ESD-controlled handling, logged and kept traceable to your reference throughout.
Inspection & Imaging
The agreed tests are carried out and every observation is captured as a digital image of your actual samples, not a generic illustration.
Report by Email
You receive a written report with the images and findings — usable directly in your own incoming-goods, audit or customer documentation.
— Why Bring Inspection to Us
A Laboratory Built for Open-Market Risk.
Since 1999 we have inspected material sourced from every corner of the open market. The same laboratory, methods and reporting we apply to our own incoming stock are available to you as a service in their own right.
Four Methods In-House
Microscopy, X-ray, decapsulation and solderability testing under one roof, so escalation from a quick screen to a definitive answer doesn’t mean a new supplier.
AS6081-Aligned Methods
Inspection follows recognised anti-counterfeit practice, with specialist third-party partners engaged where a test falls outside our own laboratory scope.
ESD-Controlled Handling
Samples are received, handled and returned under controlled ESD conditions — inspection should never be the reason a part fails later.
Evidence You Can Forward
Every service ends in a report with digital images of your samples, written to be passed straight to your quality team, your auditor or your customer.
— Who Uses Inspection Services
Six Sectors.
One Reliable Partner.
From flight-critical avionics to mission-critical patient monitors, the same buyers who cannot accept an unverified part rely on independent inspection before material reaches production.
